Dr. Harvinder Kaur is a Specialist Gynaecologist and a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. A graduate of the University of Melbourne, she completed her obstetrics and gynaecology training across a diverse range of tertiary and peripheral centres in Victoria, Queensland, and the Northern Territory, gaining extensive experience in women’s health. During her training, Dr. Kaur was also awarded the Crown Street Medal for best original research presentation on dyspareunia (painful intercourse).
Dr. Kaur has held various key roles at the Royal Women’s Hospital, including co-director of Women’s Emergency Care, and is currently a staff gynaecologist with the Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Service, as well as the Menopause After Cancer and Menopause Service. She also serves as a training supervisor for RANZCOG, dedicated to educating the next generation of Gynaecologists.
Her clinical interests include pelvic pain, endometriosis, adolescent gynaecology, menopause, menstrual bleeding disorders, abnormal cervical screening, colposcopies, contraception, PCOS and family planning. Dr. Kaur regularly performs laparoscopic surgery and runs a frequent private operating list at Frances Perry House and has the option of operating at Epworth Richmond.
Dr Kaur understands that visiting a Gynaecologist can feel intimidating or uncomfortable which is why she is committed to ensuring that you feel at ease during your treatment, taking a professional yet gentle approach with clear communication and an empathetic approach for every patient across a full range gynaecological services.
Outside of work, Dr. Kaur is a passionate runner who has recently completed a half marathon and loves cooking for her two young daughters. She is fluent in Malay and is deeply committed to providing compassionate care for women at all stages of life, addressing a wide range of concerns with warmth and expertise.
